What I want to take with me into April.

And what I’d better finetune the hell out of this month.

Hi, guys! It’s been a while since I posted here, but I’ve done anything but sit still these last couple of weeks. It’s safe to say that my life has changed quite a bit since the start of this year, and there’s a lot I’m slowly but surely learning and adapting to. Everything in that list of new things that I want to take with me into the next month, plus a couple of things that need a tiny bit (if not to say: a lot) of work, are right here in this post!

enjoying the little things.

Might have been losing Leia, might have been unexpectedly stumbling into quite the romantic adventure, might just be time and experience, might be a combination of all of those; but I’m really learning to appreciate the tiniest things in my life and/or this world more than I used to. Appreciating them means giving them the time of day. Noticing more details. Being grateful and voicing that. You know, that moment in films when they say “come on, live a little!” ?
I feel like I’m doing just that.

upping my social media game.

Honestly? Not the best time to visit a couple of crazy billionaires’ apps even more, am I riiiiight. But learning to make reels, TikTok videos, capturing more moments, and sharing them in new ways has been a creative challenge that I’ve loved taking on. It’s been quite the boost for said creativity, as well, and I hope to keep learning and sharing in the future. The duality about some of those social media channels is still there, though, but for now; it’s about finding my own voice and learning to use it even more. Once I got that down, who knows where I’ll end up (a newsletter. I hope it’s a kick-ass newsletter).

keeping up a running/walking habit.

I have a mind to try and run every day, even if it’s only for a short time, or at least going for a walk when running is not an option. Now that the weather is getting better, it should be easy to keep this one going, right? Jinx. No jinx. I can do this.

feeling loved.

Meeting someone after being single for a long time has been really mind-blowing, you guys. I often feel more confident, more sure of the fact that people like me for who I am (and/or always have), which directly makes me feel safe about being just that, and on top of that; I’m getting used to not having to do everything on my own anymore. It’s a crazy, brand new world for this relationship-rookie to discover, believe me. Makes me question the idea that you should always learn to love yourself before you can love anyone else like that, too, you know? Conclusion: I am now pretty sure that those two things need each other to grow. At least in my case. And that’s it for this post’s dose of cheese, I swear!

remaining inspired.

I usually get quite the creative block around this time, as Spring and Summer are not really my thing especially compared to the other (superior still, yes) seasons. This time, however, I think a combo of all of the above just keeps those juices flowing, and I can’t wait to put all of my ideas to paper real soon.

a better work/life balance.

Now for the things that could use some work… Living on that brand new, fluffy cloud did end up with me giving the ‘life’ part a bit more attention than I did before. As I should, but I do have to start thinking about how to combine the two in the best way. ‘Living a little’ is super important, but so is this side hustle of mine. So improving my time management skills? High up on this month’s to do list.

Strummer.

Also high on the ‘don’t forget to make time for’ list: Strummer. His behaviour has obviously changed since he’s alone now, and he craves even (EVEN) more attention than before he lost his sister. Making him feel loved and cared for is a current obsession of mine, and I’m not at all sorry about that. We’re a duo, him and me, at least for now. And I mean to really commit, haha.

q || and that’s about it! Do you have anything you’d like to work on the coming weeks?
Let know how you’re doing in the comments.

Love, always.
