A bucket list for March.

This month’s Patreon printable? A fun little bucket list full of things I would love to do in March. Below? A complimentary post about what’s on it. Perhaps it can inspire you - along with my Patrons - to make your very own!

wear green on St. Patrick’s day.

The 17th of March has always been a real heyday in my family. From the simplest thing like wearing green for St. Paddy’s, even if it’s only a subtle detail, to trying to get our hands on a delicious Guinness on tap and listening to Irish tunes all day; celebrate we must, and celebrate we will! I urge you to do the same, for the reason of getting a taste of that Irish luck alone.

hang a bird house/some feeders
and spot some cuties.

I think one of my favourite apps on my phone right now is a bird ID app which can identify just about every birdsong and -call on this planet. The park next to my apartment is the perfect environment for it, and I’m always surprised at how many different visitors it gets. Hearing them is one thing, though, so I would love to try and get them a little bit closer, just so I can marvel at their cuteness. And so Strummer can enjoy some free entertainment.

read a book about plants and/or nature.

I have quite the collection, but I’ve never really read one back to front, even though I love learning about that kind of stuff. Top of the list, this one!

spring clean, but make it fun.

I, myself, love a good spring clean, and can really enjoy sprucing up my apartment so it’s ready for the new season. But it’s a lot of work, yes, and sometimes we don’t feel like doing a lot of work, do we? Freshening up your space, however, can really do you good afterwards. Only one thing for it, then: make it more fun with a good playlist, a group effort, a checklist, a personal challenge, whatever floats your boat!

plant some seeds.

And I do mean any kind. Flowers, plants, ideas, new projects. Go for it! Those first days of Spring are the ideal time for it.

go hunting for clovers.

I wouldn’t know where to begin when it comes to my own city/country, but walking amongst meters and meters of them in Scotland so many years ago still haunts me. In a good way, that is. The perfect shade of green if ever I saw it, and just pure magic.

visit a butterfly sanctuary.

This might be the one thing on this list that I’ll need to postpone (I don’t think sanctuaries in my country open this early in the year), but seeing the first couple of butterflies flying around on those early Spring days made me think about how much I’ve wanted to visit one for years. I was pretty (read: really) young the last time I did, and so I don’t remember any of it. Must fix that.

go foraging and take lots of pictures.

Foraging to fill up some vases at home? If allowed. Pictures? I have a couple of cameras that are begging to be taken out and capture some pretty things. And pretty things? Those can only be found in nature, if you ask me, and I can’t wait to go on some very long, very beautiful walks!

thrift a new spring wardrobe piece.

Because who doesn’t love finding a brand new (well, you know what I mean) unique (!) addition to one’s closet?

get crafty.

Preferably with a fun group and with the words ‘and sip’ added at the end, thank you. I’m listing up some ideas as we speak, and can’t wait to start on them.

plan a picnic.

No better way to make the most of those first warmer days, than with a picnic. I miss the days this just happened spontaneously after school or our hobbies, don’t you?

decorate for spring.

From buying my first fresh flowers of the year, to adding some plants to my collection and brightening up my entire apartment with seasonal details; I can’t wait to make my little space here as cosy as an apartment gets in Spring!

So there you go! Plenty of March left to tick off all of them, don’t you think?

q || what would you love to do this month in celebration of the upcoming new season?
Let me know!

Lots of love,
